What was life like for the California Indians? Keep reading to find out. Here is what a day in the life of a California Indian would look like from their perspective.

I wake up in the morning to the sound of church bells. I then get dressed and have breakfast with my tribe, the Tongva. After that we go to church to pray and then, we are split up into jobs.

This is the mysterious webpage maker talking now. Some of the California Indians jobs were making leather products, wine, soap, candles, and olive oil. They also harvested crops. Now back to the California Indian's life.

My job today is making candles. I do this by dipping string into hot wax and then dipping it into water. I repeat this over and over again, until I have made a decent sized candle. At noon we stop for a quick lunch then, work continues. After dinner I finally get to rest my sore arm, and go to bed.
